Your welcome,
Hep B is transmistted similarly to HIV (though more easily transmitted I've been told), so from your encounter (the protected vaginal sex from an infected person), seems like your risk was low.
Im not too knowledable on hep B testing. I've read/heard 6 months for window from my doctor (U.S doctor) but he's conserative. Here on medhelp, the longest window period for any STD is HSV-2 that's 4 months, and the LONGEST its ever taken(for HSV-2) is 6 months. I would take the 13 week test for hepB and believe it. The conclusive part is a component of you believing your test results.
best of luck
thank u
can u answer this question please ??
I am planning to get tested for hepatitis B at 13 weeks after exposure if it came back negative would it be conclusive ? or i need to retest at 6 months ??
If you took the zithromax (anti-bacterial medication) before the test, then yes it would effect the bacterial STD test.
Zithromax won't affect the Hepatits B as its a virus (anti-bacterials don't do anything to virus parasites).
