Irrationally paranoid about STDs

giu
So i've been having this problem on and off this year, where i get totally freaked out -and i mean STRESSED- about having an STD when i've been checked, came out clean, and always use condoms.  Ridiculous I know, but i cant get away from it, i don't understand.

Just curious if anyone else has that problem and if they've figured out why it happens.

Well most likely it is the stigmas attached to std's.  But really.  How different is it from getting a cold, or the flu, bronchitis, strep throat, chicken pox.  And then when HIV/AIDS became a public epidemic, people panic even if they know they were as safe as could be without abstaining.  Unless you can find a way to rethink what causes you to panic, the only way you will get over the paranoia is to not have sex.  Pick your battles.

If you take the correct precautions, you would have more chance of developing cancer than an std.

We are all human. Are we the only species that worries unneccesarily ? Don`t know.
