Itchy, painful rash on vagina

um... yea i've got a rash (swollen, red) down there and it really bothers the **** out of me... especially in school. doesn't anyone know what i can do? im only fifteen, and i don't wanna see a gyno. my mom said to put antiseptic to reduce itching and the burning... im not sexually active or whatever. it just really hurts and i can't take it anymore. help?

Absolutely not! Antiseptic will do nothing but aggravate it even more! untill you go to the gyno, make sure to wear only cotton underwear. No tight clothing. You need to let the area breathe as much as possible. The moisture being trapped there is causing the itching. See your gyno. And until you have issues involving sexual activity, you would be better served posting in the teen or women's health forums.

oh okay, thank you. but do you think that putting antiseptic will cease the burning feeling and itching until?

Sorry to hear you are hurting, but you will need to see your gynecologist. It could be a Urinary tract infection are something else. My best bet is for you to see your gyno.
