Oral gonorrhea or just a sore throat?

Has anyone else had this experience confirmed? We had a threesome with a guy friend. My girl went down on him and she kissed me immediately after--this happened several times in the heat of the moment. I also went down on her then and since many times. She developed some sort of uti and then a yeast infection... a few days ago I started having a *raging* sore throat--like nothing I've ever experienced. I mean it is so inflammed it looks and feels worse than when I had strep. There are no concomitant symptoms: no fever, chills, aches, congestion. just this ****** of a sore throat and swallowing food feels like eating razor wire. Went to the clinic and got swabbed for both strep and pharyngeal gonorrhea. The doc prescribed amoxycilin prophylactically but the lab results won't come through for another couple days. Doc says I'm in treatment anyway so not to worry, but I wondered how likely it is that it is o.g and not just a sore throat?

have all 3 of you sought out full std testing to know who has what?

the antibiotic you were given is not effective for gonorrhea so make sure that you follow up on your test results. did they also swab you for chlamydia orally too?

We were fully involved... well I mean as an mfm... both of us individually with her.. Vaginal sex was protected btw but oral was not, and she kissed me often after going down on him, I went down on her after him, etc. Plus of course we have continued to have oral sex since. We're married, so we never worry about it--but if he somehow infected her and then I continued to go down on her, then I guess that's possible too.. She wound up with a uti but no other symptoms

definitely you and your regular partner should follow up with testing.

was there just oral sex or was other sexual contact involved?

Yeah the doc was kind of dismissive... Didn't even come back into the room to tell me the follow up... Just sent the nurse back in to say "you're okay to go, they called in a script to the pharmacy.."

As for our friend, we're not on good terms so it's not like we can just ask him... But I will follow up on the test results Thanks
