Thank you both for your replies. She is so angry and disgusted with me It looks absolutely certain there is now no way I can even hope for her to listen to reason and my marriage is now over simply because I look guilty.
Again, thank for for taking the trouble to respond.
I have read many posts in the Doctor STD forum from posters with diagnosed Trich and having no idea where it comes from. Dr Hook said this to one poster:
The questions you raise are amongst the most difficult we deal with. On one hand, the VAST majority of trichomonas infections are STDs. On the other hand, not all are. We regularly see trich in elderly women who have not had sex in literally years and in relationships in which both persons maintain that they are monogamous. So it does happen. Why? That is difficult to say.
If you do a search over in that forum, you will find quite a few situations similar to yours and can lay dormany for many many years.
it's not likely you have trich with all these negative tests.
Hi, small update and a new question. My PCR test returned negative, as expected. So my question is, how likely is it to have two STD checks last year bot showing negative, an STD check this year including culture test for trich, showing negative, and now a PCR test for trich showing negative, how likely is it they can all be be wrong??
Also, if there is that possibility ad I have carried it the whole time I have been with my wife, is it at all possible to only infect her with it just once so much later??
I'm sure I already know the answers to both questions, but would like someone else's view.
really absolutely nothing you can do at this point. maintaining a long distance marriage is difficult in general. If your wife has convinced herself that you are cheating on her, not too much you can do to change her mind no matter how much money you spend on testing to show to her. due to your arrangements, not even feasible to pursue marital counseling either unfortunately to get help working through this. If she won't believe the testing you've had done so far and shown her, she's not going to believe a more expensive test.
Sorry, didn't mean to break any forum rules. Yes, all the same case and still trying to prove my innocence.
She hardly talks with me now, getting anything from her has become almost impossible. I am sure I would feel the same as her had my doctors told me I caught an STD from her when there can be only one logical conclusion for it, so it's not as if I don't understand her not wanting any more to do with me, it's just that her assumption is incorrect and why throw away a relationship over that?! Anyway, I'm not here for counselling so I'll stop ranting!
But if anyone knows if I can save my £200 and still get the PCR test, I would love to hear from you before next Saturday.
Many thanks,
Chris,
it's much easier when you keep adding to your original post.
I'm assuming at this point you are still trying to prove your fidelity to your wife?
did she ever follow up with more testing for herself to see if indeed she had trich or if it was something else or had she already treated so it was too late?
