Question about medication...what does or can Doxy 100 mg treat?

Anyone been on this?  What does this treat for infections?
Is it a strong antibiotic?

WOW they are just throwing meds at you, aren't they?

If you had the ceftriaxone shot, that will cure gonorrhea, and you don't need the ciplox.

The doxy would cure chlamydia and NGU.

Metronidazol would cure it if its a fungal infection.

The Aceclofenac is just an anti-inflammatory that will help reduce any swelling, and the Zevit seems to be a vitamin, which might help you with overall health, but I couldn't find anything specific on that, so I can't advise there.

Did they do ANY testing, or are they just giving you meds?

If you want to cure urethritis, go with the doxy.  You don't need anything else right now, and if you keep taking antibiotics, you could end up with a yeast infection on top of everything else.

If you had gonorrhea by testing, they'd give you the shot, and doxy.  I would hold off on anything else unless you have a positive test result for something.

Hello,

Just to add ,the blisters are like painless tiny sores with nothing coming out of them .

Sores are visible if observed carefully .

This is my first question on any forum on this site and I hope somebody could help me out .

Thanks

Hello,

Can Doxy 100mg and Ciplox 500 be taken together ?

Fortunately or unfortunately I contacted 2 docs for Gonorrhea or NGU .

I have tiny blisters on the inside of my penis ie at the beginning of the urether .
Plus burning in urine .

Both the docs instead of asking for any STD test told me to take the above 2 medicines for 7 days.
One doc gave me this prescription:
Ciplox 500 twice a day
Aceclofenac 100 OD
Zevit
This doc also also gave me an injection of ceftriaxone 1gm on saturday evening 4 pm

Other doc gave me this prescription:
Doxy 100mg OD
Metronidazol TID

Can CIPLOX and DOXY be taken together ?

Which of the above combinations is "more better" for eradicating Urethritis whether associated with STD or not ?

Incidentally I havent started the second doc's (DOXY) medicines yet .

Today it is Wednesday evening but some burning while urinating is still there .Burning is in the urethra .

I'll be very grateful for any help indeed .

Regards

It treats gohorrhea and chlamydia for certain, and I think NGU and syphillis as well.
