STDs from unprotected oral

Hi
Three days ago I visited a CSW. I had unprotected insertive oral sex for about a minute and then I asked her to put a condom on. After I finished, she took the condom off and gave me oral for a few seconds.
I know from other posts that this was a low risk activity and doesn't require testing, but I was wondering how much do I have to wait until having sex with my regular partner, without giving her anything that I could have got from the this activity.
I don't have any symptoms yet, except maybe, the need to use the toilet more often, but I think it's from the stress.
Thank you!

Hello

I didn't had time to test yet, but I will test for Syphilis and HIV(duo) by the end of this week.
The sore I have is now completly closed, but it is a scar there, more pale-pink. Today is the 19th day since the exposure.
I was just wondering if a syphilis chancre can have hair growing out of it. Do you think it's possible?
And when they say "the chancre will heal with or without treatment in 3 to 6 weeks" they mean that in 3 to 6 weeks there will be no visible mark?

Thank you!

You can probably google some stats for syphilis in your country. But if it developed which I assume it is, then very low risk.

I forgot to say that I've read about amoxiciline and it is an anthibiotic from the peniciline family.

I sure hope you are rigt.
Actually I live in an Eastern European country. Would that make a higher risk?

Thank you!

That is not the recommended treatment for syphilis. So I don't know if it would have any effect. But again I highly doubt that you have syphilis. It is rare in developed countries

Hello

Sorry for posting again, but I am really scared and I need your advice.
The sore I've got almost healed. It's still a scar there like a round hole, where the skin was peeled off, but it sure looks like a healing wound.
For the last 3 days I took augmentin which contains amoxicilline 875 mg, twice a day.
If I have Indeed syphilis, could this be the reason why te sore healed to quickly? I've read everywhere about the time of healing for chanchers and I know it happends within 2-6 weeks without treatmen (some sites states that 1-8 weeks), but I couldn't find anything about the healing time with treatment.
Thank you.

I can't say if it is syphilis or not but based on the time frame probably not, but see a Dr since you are very concerned.

HIV please post in that forum, we have seperate forums so things don't get mixed up.

Hi
I want to come with an update regarding the sore I have.
Since it looked like pictures of syphilis chancres I saw on the internet I thought that if it's only a normal sore it would start healing when exposed to air. So I exposed it to aer. A white-yellow hard crust formed at the surface of the sore and it was hard and firm. When I woke up this morning, the crust peeled off and now the sore looks again like a chancre, thow it's not that hard and firm and nothing seems to get out of it.
Does this sound like a syphilis chancre?
Would a syphilis chancre form a crust when exposed to air?

Thank you!

Hi Vance

I took your advice and I googled pictures of syphilis. The thing is that my sore does look like what I've seen in pictures.
The thing is that when I saw that red bump I squezed it and I peeled the skin on the surface of the bump. Now that area is white with a diameter of around 2-3 mm. It doesn't seem to heal, but I must admit that I picked it more times a day. The lesion is hard, doesn't hurt but it does burn. My lymph nodes in that area are normal.
If this is a syphilis chancre I would probably be the first who had symptoms of syphilis after 7 days.
How long would it take to know for sure if I have syphilis?
If this is indeed syphilis and the woman that gave it to me had HIV, am I at risk of contacted HIV trough insertive oral? Sorry for asking about HIV in this forum, but I know you also post in the HIV prevention forum too

Thank you!

1. Probably not
2. Never heard of it that soon.

Google a picture of syphilis, probably very different then what you have.

Hi

Thank you for your last posts.
I was wondering if it's possible for syphilis sores to apperar as soon as 7 days after the encounter. I have a red bump on the scrotum, near the base of my penis. I've noticed it last night in the 7th day since my exposure. It doesn't look like a canker but I know from other posts that red bumps develop into cankers.
I also shaved that area 8 days ago, so it might be from an infected hair or something.
1. Do you think this could be syphilis?
2. Would it be too soon for a syphilis sore to appear?

Thank you!

Post in the herpes forum for herpes info. We don't recommend just medicating without a diagnosis.

Thanks for your answer Vance.
It's been almost a week and still no symptoms. I was hoping I'm in the clear at least for gonorrhea (I've read in some posts that symptoms usually start 2-5 days later). Is it possible to get herpes from this encounter if I allready have HSV1? Would you recomand me to get treatment just to prevent, in case I've got something?

Thanks!

Well symptoms of gonorrhea and NGU normally start at about 1-2 weeks. Syphilis 21 days on average and herpes not sure on.

Hi Vance,

Could you answer my question, please...

I don't have herpes on my penis, I have it on my lips like many people. I've read that once you already have herpes on your lips, you won't get it somewhere else. Since it's oral sex we're talking about, I believe it's oral herpes that you can catch from this activity, which I already have...

Thanks.
It's not herpes that I'm worried about. I have herpes type 1, at least I had some outbreaks on my lips a few years back and I've read that I won't get genital herpes since I've already have it.
