Soiled Toilet Paper

A couple of days ago, I used the restroom at work. When I was done, I wiped the toilet seat down with toilet paper. Upon doing so, I noticed small specks of blood on the seat. I never sat on the seat.  I was obviously alarmed as the blood wasn't mine. Circumstantially speaking, if I accidentally used the same toilet paper to give myself another wipe and it contained small quantities of blood, would I be at risk for any type of STD? I'm sure that I didn't do that but my mind has started to wander. I understand that my fears are probably unwarranted but I would like any type of insight. Thank you.
