Urethritis

Hello all, i was treated for Chlamydia a month ago and my symptoms went away, recently ive been having burning during urination, extreme pain/burning after masturbation, lower abdominal pain/stomach pain, and discomfort in urethra throughout the day. I am going to get tested for stds within the week but would like to get some more information on this. If you have any idea what it could be i would greatly appreciate it. If i had to guess i would say its Urethritis ... or something similar. I plan on getting tested for all STDs as well as a test for bacteria/infection from my urethra to test for urethritis before this situation becomes much worse.
I thank all of you very much for your help!

So my results came back all negative for any stds, so my doctor told me to go see a urologist. This sucks. I have no serious symptoms there very mild, Like mild burning during urination, sometimes itchy urethra, and i noticed my stomach has been hurting, like the sides when i press into my stomach area (similar to when the doctor tells u to lay down and feels around your stomach for pain) i feel slight pain there too on both sides.
I have to go see another doctor now. this is getting ridiculous.. ah

okay thanks everyone!

So you've had the smear done?

I'm not sure what the question is then.

Do you mean wait to take the azithromycin to see what the results are?  That would be fine as well.

yes, I think the smear test is for NGU .. any pain in discharge is either chlamydia or Gonn. and if not, probably NGU.. so doctor might just want to be sure and make sure u r NGU clear.

Yes, i also think the same. But i feel that culturing the urethral discharge (although very minimal) would be very effective in finding a result... because thats basically what the problem is. Urine tests arent always very accurate.

It would kill a lot of other bacteria in your body.

I think you need to wait till Monday and see what the other results say, and then go to a urologist.

Okay, so the tests all came back negative, HIV-, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonn. Im just waiting for the smear test that was taken from my urethra which should come by monday. My doctor gave me azro 1g just incase the chlamydia wasnt detected in the urine. So she told me to wait till monday for these results then she'd refer me to a urologist if these results come back negative also. Have any ideas... ?

All this from oral sex?  I'd say its a coincidence.

Have you gotten your test results back yet?

Yes with my ex-girlfriend but that was 2-3 years prior. Im not very active since these things do scare me, and choose my partners carefully, but i guess this last one was a mistake :-( . The doctor said she doesnt think its herpes because the symptoms would have progressed and signs would have been obvious, since i think you get lesions and such. Im hoping its just some bacteria that can be cleared with antibiotics.

But as for my sex history i only had sex with one person and that was my ex-gf of 2 years. Although she did have sex with other people before that, it was a while ago(2-3years about)

I also think HIV is not a possibility, unless it came up now from my ex-gf... i mean it could have sprung up but i pray to god thats not the case.

I guess now i have to wait till thursday to get the results....... long wait.

You won't get HIV from receiving oral sex.  Its also terribly unlikely that you got chlamydia from oral sex, especially since it didn't last long.  Have you ever had sex before that?

I just got back from the doctors, she did a blood test, culture, and urine test. I will find out thursday, she did the blood test for HIV and Syphillis. Isnt it very unlikely that i got HIV from oral sex? ... It lasted for about 1 min or less..

Well, i got infected from oral sex. and i havent had any sexual encounters since that one time. I already got checked for prostate and the doctor said it was fine. Im going to the doctors in an hour to have more examinations.

When you got treated, did you and a previous partner have sex again?  Its possible you have been re-infected, or maybe the treatment didn't work, though that's pretty uncommon.

You might also ask for a prostate exam to make sure that's not inflammed.
