Here's a post from someone else GRACE. Do you see the pattern? Something is going on.
"Hello,
Please would someone assist me.
I would like to know whether it would be possible to experience HIV symptoms after less than 2 weeks after possible exposure (1 day - 10 days after possible exposure). I am a 27 y.o. male. I experienced the following:
- groin rash (left thigh only) - day after possible exposure but disappeared within 24hrs.
- burning sensation all over body - since 4 days after possible exposure.
- sore armpits and weak joints - since 6 days after possible exposure.
- dry throat (constantly drinking liquids now) - since 5 days after possible exposure.
- a little bit tired or drained feeling - since 5 days after possible exposure.
- tongue seems a little bit "blotchy" (i mean it has parts that are little bit different colour than the rest) - since 6 days after possible exposure.
- my penis is a little bit sore on the tender. I can still urinate without feeling any pain. - since 7 days after exposure
My exposure was: Unprotected vaginal intercourse with unknown status female partner. She was not a sex-worker. It only lasted for a few seconds. I did not ejaculate. I gave her oral and she gave me oral.
I am obviously worried about possible HIV infection but also any other STD. Which is why i have posted in the STD forum and not HIV forum"
yes, Zithromax and Minocin, alternating. Still on it. Being treated for babesia as well as other tested and pos results for co-infections
have you tried even a month of ciprofloxacin or anything similar?
There are different schools of thought. Dr Nicholson suggests larger doses of ABX over a long time with immune enhancer OTC's. Some researchers think it can be fixed by long term low dose pulsed ABX and immune modulating drugs. You need to contact ILADS to have testing done. Standard doctors generally do not like specialty labs sice there is no profit in it for them and the insurance companies like to take the cheap way out, even if it means you get missdiagnosed by an inferior test/outdated test criteria. You will possibly be missdiaged with ALS, MS, Lupus, Fibro, Hashimotos, etc and spend the rest of your days taking immune suppressors (that will compound the problem) instead of locating the causative bacterial infection that wasn't there before your "episode". I was perfectly healthy, then chronically ill. And all my tests were neg too, except for these above.
So antibiotics should be able to help this, no?
A mycoplasma is a bacteria that lacks a cell wall, known as cell wall deficient bacteria. It is a little larger than a virus and has to occupy your own cells to proliferate. They don't divide exponentionally like standard bacteria, sometimes taking as long as 7-20 days. Do you notice how you feel "ok" some days, but others you feel like crud? Those are the cytokines being released into the bloodstream.
EVERY symptom including lower back pain, urogenital pain and gastrointestinal I have. Sometimes I have a stabbing sensation in my stomach. Sometimes I feel a "percolation" in my intestines. This bacteria infection goes wherever your blood supply goes and has a strong autoimmune response. Radiating nerve pain, fasticulations in legs and arms, bell's palsy like twitches in eyes, deteriorating vision. Headaches unlike any other experienced.
Hey ewford, I was at one point thinking Lupus or some type of autoimmune disease but I really don't know. I should probably mention I have burning lower back pain and gastrointestinal symptoms also. I have been thinking candida lately, but this seems pretty severe for that. A thought I keep having is that we were drinking a lot of a very thick, yeasty, micro brew beer and I do remember her immediately performing oral sex on me so maybe some type of fungal infection from the beer yeast, I don't know if that's even possible, I'm just grasping at straws, and like I said this seems pretty severe, more viral or something.
ok, i wont hijack. I'll suggest places to get tested properly then. IGENEX for Lymes and Co-infections. I think Whitmore Petersen's lab is reopening under a new name. But you can contact www.IMMED.org to find a proper and precise Mycoplasma test as per an expert on MEDHELP since you seem to have some Autoimmune issues as well.
please don't hijack the op's post - thanks!

Sound familiar? Grace? Hello. His symptoms are exactly like mine, and several others. There is something going on and we are not being told what it is.
Hi chet here is a post of mine from 2 yrs ago. they said it was anxiety too....
"I had a brief encounter where I deeply kissed a woman, she performed felatio on me and I performed cunnilingus on her. My penis touced her outer lips but there was no penetration. Shortly thereafter, I started experiencing symptoms ie, burning when peeing, soreness of penis. Went to doc in box and was given anti fungal for poss yeast on exterior of penis, and something else for penis pain. The pain never went away. I felt like a truck hit me for next month and have not felt right since. Symptoms including lower back pain, now pain in my rectal/prostate area, tingling in extremeties, lightheadedness, pain in my groin above my penis but below my navel. Weird skin conditions that I never had before, such as pimple like bumps and weird rashes. I also have experienced night sweats at neck and groin. Joint pain and muscle weakness. Stiff neck and headaches as well.
I have had all sorts of std testing. HSV1 was pos. I had had lesions before on upper lip. HSV2 were neg through 8 months. I even had HIV tests at 2.4 and10 months, and an ORAL HPV DNA PCR test (2 times) all neg.
I have tried to do research to find out what is going on and all the doctors want to treat me for is anxiety. Im anxious because they have not tested me any further than the standard CBC, Thyroid, Celiac, Blood sugar tests.
Now I have pain in my chest and throat that is not psychosematic. It wakes me up and hurts. My head hurts when I try to do complicated tasks and I feel as if I am running on 2 cylinders.
I have asked the Internist to do some Mycoplasma screening tests as my symptoms (neurological and intestinal) can be attributed to it. The symptoms appear to be exactly like Chronic Fatigue syndrome. Im always worn out, no energy at all.
The woman I spent that brief encounter with told me she had had bowel probs for years, had a very rough pregnancy with her only child and could not conceive again. That suggests possible PID with a Mycoplasma infection. She only works weekends, as she suffers from fatigue as well. And I have heard the Mycoplasma infections are the up and coming STD that has surpassed gonorhea
PLEASE, any info or which way to test to see what the hell is going on here. I WANT MY LIFE BACK!! "
Thanks for the replies. I can see how it all seems anxiety related, with so many different symptoms, and maybe some of it is, but I can tell you after a year and a half, anxiety is not the issue. The pain in my perineum started the very next day and it is still there after all this time, it has faded for weeks here and there but never goes away, It has to be some type of an infection. I was hoping someone had maybe experienced something similar and found an answer, to be honest I am leaning towards some type of a fungal infection but I really don't know. I understand the overuse of antibiotics is not good, but this is getting old and I would like my life back
follow up with the sciatica pain with a neurologist.
follow up with your rashes with a dermatologist when you have them.
most of your other symptoms sound like stress/anxiety related more than anything else. it sounds like your providers have been doing a good job of testing for the "usual" suspects and not treating you with antibiotics without any positive test results .

I think that the stress is what is making you sick. Because you had unprotected sex your mind is running wild. I had the same problem. Have you even been in a situation and you feel perfectly fine and then someone tells about a situation they've been in, then all of a sudden you start thinking. You begin to over think things and then before you know it you are having the same symptoms.
