hi, i have done a bit of researches about french kissing and receiving oral sex. it seems that there are slightly conflicting information but I think almost all doctors seem to agree that it's very unlikely to get syphilis, chlamydia, or gonorrhea from deep/french kissing (some of them even said it's only theoretically possible). the only "common" STD from french kissing is just HSV1 but HSV1 is not really an STD.
it seems to be totally different in case of receiving oral sex. I mean, i know some doctors here like Dr. Hunter said that it's also unlikely to receive syphilis or other STDs from receiving oral sex..but I still get the impression that receiving oral sex is still a far higher risk compared to french kiss in terms of risks of STDs.
I would like to know why is that french kissing considered a much safer "practice" compared to receiving oral sex? my logic is like this -> if someone can get syphilis from receiving oral sex, that means the syphilis bacteria "stayed" in the person's throat. then later, he/she transmit the bacteria back to the genitalia of the new sexual partner with "oral sex" or "giving head".
using this same logic, why can't that same person infect someone with french kissing? because the same bacteria also "stayed" in his/her throat and he/she should be able to transmit it through saliva exchange?
