Hello Gibby,
Technically, yes, you are at risk of contracting an STD this way although I have to say you've probably chosen the rarest route of transmission.
So yes, theoretically possible but likely? - no. Its easy to test for STD's by urine testing and you can do this with modern PCR techniques after about 5 days or so.
best wishes, Sean
One other thing...for oral medicines used to treat chlamydia and gonorrhea, what is the typical treatment period and what drugs? I have to return home soon, so I need to try and find the quickest form of treatment if I'm infected. Is there one drug that is quicker to act than others? Thanks.
I've been tested for the common STDs before, and both times they used a painful swab technique to test. Do all clinics offer the urine testing, or will I be limited depending on which one I go to?
Thanks for your timely reply. I'm super worried and it's great to have information on such short notice.
