Am I Experiencing Symptoms of an STD?

Hi,

On New Year’s Day of this year, I decided to have sex with a man (I’m also a man). It was a really random hookup, and unfortunately I didn’t wear a condom. He gave me oral and anal.

A few weeks after this encounter, I noticed a bump on the shaft of my penis. It didn’t itch or hurt or anything. Around the same time I started to feel burning and itching sensations.

Fearing the worst, I went to my local family clinic on Feb. 12 and got tested for chlamydia, gonerrhea, HIV, and Herpes. All came back negative.

Since then, the itching has been very minimal and the burning feeling is completely gone (hopefully for good). However, the bump is still there, and I think I spotted a smaller bump that had developed next to the first (again, no pain or itching in that specific area). Also, I’m experiencing a feeling a penile discharge, but when I look and feel down there, there is nothing. I haven’t had contact with anyone, including him, since that day. He hasn’t contacted me saying that he has been exposed to any STDs either, so I have some hope that I don’t have anything serious.

I am genuinely afraid that the negative test results are false, and after constantly reading around, it confirms that I have gone to get tested too early.

What could these symptoms be pointing to? When should I go to the doctor to get tested again? What tests should I request for the most accurate results? Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? If so, what did you do?

I hope to hear from all of you soon. Thank you.
