Nuru nudde body massage, vagina rubbing on anus, std risk

Hi,

I had an hour long nude body (nuru) massage about 6 weeks ago. The masseuse used some kind of lotion and rubbed her vagina over my body. I was worried by the rubbing and grinding around my anus. Is there a possibility of any STD transmission through vagina fluids in this way? Specifically I became worried after falling ill about 2 weeks after the massage & my girlfriend falling ill about a week later. We both had sore throats, coughs and general fatigue. I have read other posts about similar experiences. I am aware that the risk should be low and that it is likely to be a coincidence but I am not able to get over it. If it were just myself then I could put it down to anxiety but since my girlfriend was ill too I'm more worried, especially with the guilt.

Are there any STDs that I could have caught in this situation, or that should concern me regarding this bout of illness? I know that HIV should not be a worry for non-intercourse sex (but there's still some anxiety) but I want to rule out others as well (hep B I'm vaccinated against, but other kinds of hepatitis, herpes, syphilis, etc.).

Thanks.

Hi, if she rubbed/grinded her vagina all over your body the risk would be for herpes and syphilis . Since you have a girl test at the correct window period for her protection.
Herpes   3 months
Syphilis    6 weeks

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to avoid looking into this too much since it is a kind of paranoia (even though the risk is real). So that's why I am coming back to you late. I have broken up with my gf so that's not an issue right now. The thing is: 17 days after the massage I spent a week highly fatigued and, flue-y (sore throat, coughing, general unwellness) and my gf went through something similar shortly after (we had had relations after the massage). For the past month since then I have been feeling run down, sore throat, sneezing. I know this is all non-specific but I want to know:

* Was there any risk of Hep C? I'm worried about my stools appearing too pale (sorry).
* Is there any reason to think these symptoms, or unwellness, could be related to an STD?
* Can herpes or syphilis cause this kind of unwellness without any sores?
* I don't think clinics usually offer herpes tests (but syphilis yes), is it really necessary?
* I know that it is quite likely that the problems are guilt, anxiety & some other fluke infection/condition that has nothing to do with this. I can't separate the small real risk from the paranoia very well!
