Chlamydia and Oxytetracycline

I have recently been for a routine check up at my local GUM clinic and they have told me that I have non-specific urethritis. They said that there are many ways to get this but I won't know how I contracted it until my results come back (which could take up to 2 weeks). I understand that chlamydia is a common way of getting NSU, but I have been taking oxytetracycline for a number of years to control acne and the doctor said it is normally used to treat chlamydia. I am currently taking 2 x 250mg tablets every day and I was wondering what is the likelihood of me catching chlamydia whilst on oxytetracycline? In the past 6 months I have had a couple of one night stands and then I met a girl who I have been in a relationship with for the last 3 months or so. I really like her and I am terrified that I might have got NSU from chlamydia and passed it onto her. Can anybody help please?

Right ok, thank you for responding so quickly. If anybody else knows any different please let me know, a fortnight wait for results is agonising.

You have to wait for the tests. NSU or NGU is not chlamydia really but it is other bacteria. The medication you are on might treat chlamydia or it might not. Like I said nothing you can really do until the test results come back.
