Clear Discharge

I recently have been experiencing clear discharge with some white mucous in the morning from the urethra, with some burning sensation when urinating. I am male 44 years old. I went to the sexual health clinic and swab and urine tests came back with no evidence of a UTI or STI. I have had no sexual contact in the last month but had two bouts of excess masturbation in the last couple of weeks. Have I irritated the urethra? How long before the discharge stops? Is this a prostate issue?

You are prob correct. Do much masturbation (more so, to vigorous masturbation) can cause irritation to the penis and the urethra. You should stop for a week or 2 to let everything rest and heal!

Could it be a prostate issue? Yeah, it could but the the irritation is more likely. Only way to rule out the prostate is to see a doctor to have a proper feel of it.

Obviously is not an std if there was no sexual contact with anyone other than yourself through masturbation. However, you may have an infection. A clear discharge can be a sign of that. Perhaps your had dirt enter the urethra during masturbation. But regardless, see a doctor for diagnosis. And antibiotics if they agree there is an infection.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. The discharge has stopped unless I milk the penis which I appreciate your not supposed to do. I had both urine test and swap of the urethra and both were negative for uti and sti. I am going to book an appointment with the GP to discuss about prostate etc. I’m not passing any more urine than usual but first urine of the day leaves a slight burning sensation. I could also have become more sensitive to the workings of bladder.
If you know you shouldn't do something, why do you do it? You may just have some discharge and it is benign since you have had testing. You are expressing the discharge. Stop that!  You can follow up with your gp. That is a good idea
