am lost!!!!

i always had safe sex, but i went through some medical exams for a job abroad (SGOT, SGPT...) and turned that the syphilis came out but it was saying ¨very weak¨ now i have a more precise test. i never had any symptoms, no chankers... but right before the SGPT I had a cold and took codein for the caugh and uboprofene as treatment for my cold could they alter the results or i surely have the syphilis?

..if you really have a syphilis infection, it is easily and rapidly treatable and will have strongly positive long-term effects on your health. Even if you are truly positive, you are not lost at all!!

...is an issue for infectious diseases specialists. Get a referral as soon as possible to clear up the situation. Various syphilis screening tests are known to produce a small number of false positives, and there are other, more specific tests that may be used for clearing up the situation. Diagnosing and dealing with syphilis is a tricky job for medical experts.

you should repeat your test if it was a faint result, there are chances for false results, you should also get and RPR blood test.

Also, syphilis is a skin to skin transmitted STD so it is still possible to get it although wearing a condom you can also get it through unprotected oral. it is a lower risk but the risk is still there. retest using the RPR and go from there.
