STD from Mutual Masturbation with Saliva

Hi -
I recently engaged in mutual masturbation with another guy.  He masturbated himself and then me, and used his spit as lube.

I can't tell for certain from all of the differing information online:  Is this a risk for any STDs?  If so, which ones?  Should I get tested or was this activity "safer"?

Thank you for the help.  I'm nervous and just want to know if it is possible that I could catch something from this!

No, saliva doesn't transmit any STD's.

What about the saliva?  He used a lot of his saliva on me when touching me!  Would that transmit oral herpes to my genitals?

STD's are not carried on things like hands...if they were don't you think that a lot more people would have some STD's just based on how many people shake hands.

Help808808...do me a favor and go into the experts forum and read what Dr.Hook and Dr.HHH has to say on the issue above. If you can't take my knowledge of the subject then you should be able to take 2 experts in the field knowledge on the subject.

Just spoke with a rep from CDC (their hotline).  They said it Herpes is transmitted from Oral/Genital or Genital/Genital sex.  I guess if Vance AND the CDC say it is so, it must be.  :-)

I'm still confused why some seemingly reputable websites say that you can catch it from Mutual Masturbation, but others don't.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see???

Sorry - I didn't read this before I posted another question.  Ignore it.

I'm mostly concerned with Herpes.  If we moved our hands back and forth between each other, could I have contracted it?  I don't think I saw any bumps or anything, but just am not sure.

Why would so many websites say that you can catch herpes just from mutual masturbation?

Im confused....  I keep seeing you staying you cant get a STD by touching...  But from my understand.  If someone has HPV.  Like warts and what not... If they touch the infected area then touch the other person there is a chance of transferring it...  Same for a few others... The changes are rare...  But you shouldn't be telling someone they can not get something when there is a possibility.

You can not get a STD from the above event. This was the safest sexual activity you can have.
