Thank you very much Aelly, you have rested my nerves a little.
Forza Milan!
Okay, I see your point.
Got it.
Sorry don't have any stats, but if they HAD active warts present, the chance of you getting HPV is fairly high.
I wouldn't worry about it... I really do think you have more anxiety than real possible risk right now. And it was protected sex too!
Yes that is a number but what is a number? You can have sex unprotected once and get HIV or 500 times and not get it. We don't like to use numbers here because we do not have the medical training as those Dr's.
But this is a reason why there are seperate forums for HPV, HSV and HIV. Please post in those. This is just about STD's...see the list above. Yes that list still says herpes and HOV but there is now specific communities for those.
Do not worry, my fellow AC Milan fan, I am sure you haven't gotten anything of the sort. HPV is rendered sometimes and in the years to come ineffective. Sure, in some cases, HPV can be cancer causing but most causes they go away and never prove to be cancer causing. I am sure you do not have it. Do not let that idea concern you.
My bad, yes its 1 in 1000 someone has HIV and chance of transmission through unprotected vaginal is about the same. Quoted from Dr. Handsfield
Thank you K Cheese. So I guess HPV is the only one to worry about. I don't suppose you could get guess at a percentage chance? Do you think I have something realistically to worry about?
No that number is wrong on that number from the Dr's on this site. That number is the quoted number by the CDC for an instance of unprotected oral sex which both Dr's believe is too high of a number.
Actually the chances of getting HIV according to the docs on this forum, it is 1 in 10,000 upon single unprotected exposure.
Herpes can occur between 2 - 20 days. Rarely by the third week. You can do a HSV2 blood test at 4-6 weeks. Apparently if you don't have any lesions or ulcers by Day 14, chances are you don't have it.
Yes, even if you use condoms, you can still get HPV. Its one of the STDs that can be anywhere, thighs, base of penis, areas where the condom can't protect. HPV can occur anywhere between 2 - 3 months after exposure. So if you get anything immediately, most likely isn't HPV. Herpes through condom is much less common than HPV, and close to none if you are using condoms along with the other person not having an outbreak.
Safe sex is safe sex.
I had anxiety like you before, worried about every single disease in the world. Turned out I didn't, I know how you feel. Just try to distract yourself and stop thinking about the what-ifs.
Please post in those communities. There are specific forums to answer questions about HIV, herpes and HPV.
