how long can it take for genital warts to appear?

ctn
recently i discovered a small pimple like bump on the base of my penis, i popped it just like i pimple and it got a little irritated but within a week it healed. after examining my penis closer in the past few days i noticed a few small bumps around the underside of the shaft and around the pubic hair. they are about 1mm to 2mm in size and flesh colored. im worry that they may be genital warts. i have been with my current girlfriend for about a year now and she was a virgin when we started dating. the last sexual encounter i had where i could have possibly been infected was over 2 years ago and i have not noticed any symptoms in that time. could it take that long for genital warts to appear? im planning on going and getting tested again at planned parenthood, but im told there is not a general test for hpv in men. i dont have health insurance so i cant have a doctor examine me.

It is really tough to say what they are or can be. Bumps can be 20 different things. Post in the HPV community, maybe someone there can give you more info.

im aware of this but i cannot afford to visit a physician due to my lack of health insurance. i also understand that there is no way for anyone to diagnose me over the internet im just looking for opinions and information. i am also curious if they are fordyces spots.

The only way to know what this is, is to see a Dr. Bumps can be many things often not STD related.
