Constant Urethritis or Cystitis

I have been suffering with IC or Urethritis for about 3 months now. As many people said before me it's ruining my life! I had a cystoscopy and CT scan done as well as urine tests. They only found some tiny polyps right where the urethra meets bladder and some kind of inflammation. No infection tho. The doctor put me on Doxazosin which I've been taking for 2,5 months now and it did nothing for me. I have a horrible urgency and frequency ALL THE TIME and also a lot of pain and itching. It almost never gets better it's pretty much constant. Doctors keep telling me that there is nothing else they can do and to stay on the pills. I'm getting desperate. I did some research and four some treatments like laser therapy and hydrodistention of the bladder...
Could someone please tell me if there is ANYTHING I could try? I can't live like this for the rest of my life.
Also my husband and I would like to start a family soon. Is that even an option with this condition?
Thank you so much for any thoughts or suggestions!

this is more of a std related forum than an urinary forum. I don't know specifically which forum would probably suit your needs better but check out the list and try posting there too :)

I do apologize I re-read what you said,

Did they dignose you with urethrisis ---i.e., a bacteria causing problem?

In anycase you should talk to your physican to recommend you to a urologist or OBGYN.

Hi

When it comes to matters of NGU, it can be hard to treat.   Talk to a urologist or a very good physican OB/GYN on these matters  ---maybe another antibiotic is the solution.

Starting a family is still open with this condition.
