I read an article that most cervical cancer is caused By HPV  my x had cervical cancer.  WE always used condoms,  However a male can be a carrier  Is their any need for me to get tested for HPV?

No HPV test in men because it does not cause the issues that it can cause in women.

I understand that I wont have sideeffects being male.  However, i could still be a carrier amd give hpv to a women if i so happen to have it.  Is their a male hpv test?

the technicality to this question is - there aren't any commercially available hpv tests for males.  You can get tested for hpv but it's going to be very hard to find a practioner to do it and insurance probably isn't going to cover it.

so what are your options with future partners? well depending on your age group you are dating in, you can ask if they had the hpv vaccine or not.  also if you put a condom on as soon as your underwear come off and not wait until actual penetration, it reduces risk to a partner by 90% .  Also the vast majority of hpv infections do clear on their own within 2 years ( most within a year ).

do you definitely have hpv?  no you do not. it's totally up to you and future partners what precautions you want to take together, if any, due to your past partner.

That is the question I always wonder myself. If a guy were to catch more than just genital wart strain HPV and also catching that can cause cervical cancer, would that pass along to an uninfected female. I'm sure we do not want to harm anyone.

No there is no male hpv test. I guess you can go for pap smear test, but that is majority women though.

There is no FDA test procedure for men.
