Help me please Herpes question

I met up with this girl and we started kissing and we didnt have sex but she was grinding on my and dry humping me. We both had pants on and I also had boxers on. So thats at least three layers with my pants, boxers, and her pants. After we stopped she informed me if we wanted to go further and actually have sex that she had genital herpes and she wanted me to be aware. She stated she didnt have oral herpes at all though. Should I be concerned for contacting herpes or was the barrier of both of us wearing pants and her not having herpes in her mouth enough that I dont need to be tested? Or am I skrewd with by kissing her?

Annie is correct.

Also, no STD goes through clothing. You had no risk. She did the right and brave thing in telling you before you had any risk. You should respect her for that.

Annie is also correct in that so many people have oral herpes - 3.7 billion people do under 50 globally, to be exact, or 67%. Most will never get symptoms. You could already have it, and for sure, you've kissed someone who does.

No reason to panic, though. You can ask your doctor for a type specific IgG blood test and find out.

If she did not have an outbreak of herpes in her mouth at the time you kissed her, you would not have gotten herpes from kissing her.

But this doesn't mean you have never been exposed to oral herpes. (Many people have been exposed to oral herpes.)

Here's a link to some explanatory material about herpes:
