My girlfriend is pregnant

So my girlfriend just did a pregnancy test and it's positive.
Good news all around.
However, before we started dating, I had a few sex romps with escorts (maybe 5 since 2008)
the last one was just before dating, so Nov 2009.
It was protected sex.
But back in Mar 2009, I had brief unprotected sex (1mins) with an escort.

I've had no symptoms of any kind.

Should I go to a clinic to test?  Or am I fairly safe to assume that I have no STD at all?

Thanks

great news!

be sure you were tested for herpes too. it's not a part of routine std testing and condoms don't prevent it 100%.  since your gf is pregnant, knowing your herpes status is important. also typically it's not a part of routine pregnancy testing either so make sure she asks to be tested for it too.

So no call back from cilnic which means I'm clean.

So I got my blood taken and the doctor checked my testes for swollen glands.
no swollen glands.
I asked my chances for STDs with no symptoms and they didn't answer.  Said not enough info to answer.
I have to wait 10 days for the results.
I'm still so nervous and scared that I might have an STD even though I was safe (excluding that 1 short time)

Thanks for the reply.
I'll go get tested to make sure 100%
But I still want to have peace of mind that things will be good

Oh I am sorry, I think I read something wrong...protected sex is protected no real risk. The minute of unprotected is a risk, very low, but still possible.

So even if I had sex with a condom and haven't had any symptoms, there is a chance I have an STD?

Yes you should test and she will also be tested.
