Possible herpes?

Could a couples of pimples (that filled with yellow puss) that didn't itch or hurt on the inner thigh of each leg (located from each other) be herpes? They occured about a month after the incident, lasted for about a week (I started putting on some bacitracin) and went away....Some that I didn't pick on went away completly, but left somewhat of a scar and other that I picked became little small red bumps that I could only feel when I touch the region. Two days ago (about 2 months from the first outbreak) I wanted to get rid of the small little dormant bumps, so I used a clean heated needle to open the2 little red bumps up, and they became big like before, and had puss...they seem to be going away. Could this be herpes?  I have never had unprotected sex...Any suggestions?

p.s. I am on doxycycline for acne and I am 22
