How long after treatment for Gonorrhea will you test neg

Just got the shot in my *** bout 10 days ago... wanted to know how long before i can retest and have an accurate neg result. I want to make sure the med worked and cleared everything up and show a neg test result to my concerned ex-partner.

but if you have any symptoms at all go back for another shot. sometimes it takes two doses to make the symptoms go away.

Actually, it has been said on MedHelp by the seasoned posters (longer than me) that testing again less than 30 days after treatment could very well end up in a false result.  It is best to not test for at least 30 days after treatment.
