I think I did something stupid. question about molluscum

arlier this week I noted these nodules growing in my pubic area only. they didn't hurt and looked like an ingrown hair. turns out they are molluscum contagiosum. they look exactly like it. (pics: MC pic 1, MC pic 2) me being the level headed and intelligent person I am (joking) I self scrapped off all the ones I could see. I got them all off went over multiple times with a zoom to check every part of me. I washed the areas throughly with antibacterial soap and applied antibiotic ointment to them. it wasn't until AFTER I did this I realized "hey maybe that wasn't a good idea". I have a few questions.
1.) am I still contagious even with all the bumps gone?
2.) is this something I should worry about?
3.) how long do I need to wait before I have sex again?
I will note I am tested regularly for STD and STI and all past test came up negative. I took my last test about 2 months ago.

If it was molluscum, you wouldn't be able to self-scrape them off.

How long ago did you do that? Have the spots reappeared? Did they bleed? Did it hurt?

It looks like you copied and pasted this from somewhere that you had maybe linked the pics, but we can't see those. If they are pics of your bumps, we don't look at those because we can't diagnose.

Folliculitis (infected hair follicles) or ingrown hairs don't look like molluscum.

It's too bad that you got rid of all the bumps before you showed a doctor, because now you won't know what they were unless they come back.

its been about 4 days since I did it.  they didn't hurt prior to me messing with them, the actual process did hurt a bit and it did bleed a lot. they were perfectly round and elevated with a little indention at the top.
there were around 12 and they were all spread out and isolated around my pubic area.
Well, it does sound like molluscum, but there's no way to know now. I'd suspect that if it is molluscum, some will return or you'll get new ones.

If you do, DO NOT do this again. You are not only making it hard to diagnose it, but you risk infection and spread.

Are the spots healing okay? Nothing looks infected or anything? Are they scabbing over or anything? Nothing looks swollen or red/purple/gray or inflamed? Anything hurting?

There's something called cellulitis, which is a bad infection. Keep an eye out for it. You'll see swelling, your skin in the area might feel warm or hot to the touch, and it will look red if your skin is light, or purple or gray if it's darker. It may not get infected at all, but just watch out for any signs of infection.
Thank you for your advice :) I’ll l keep a eye on it
You're welcome. Hope everything heals well. :)
