Herpes - potential false positive?

I am 35 year old man.  For the most part, I have had only protected sex.  I was recently told by a doctor that I tested postive for Herpes 2 based a blood test (result of 1.8).  I also have Crohn's disease and have been on immunosuppressants for the past ten years.  I have read in various places that these factors can influence the test results.  Is it possible that I have a false positive?  What are the odds?

I am also 35 years old with Crohn's and showed some antibodies (0.9) for HSV type 2.  I belive it to be a false positive.  My doctor also told me that false positives on this test are likely with Crohn's.

1.8 is really low, and needs to be confirmed.  Even without Crohn's and meds, I'd avise you to get re-tested.  That's very likely to be a false positive.
