Male mutual masturbation

Am I at any risk of either bacterial or viral std from stroking a mans penis then stroking mine with the same hand? I dont believe any of his pre ejaculate or semen got on my hand, but the next morning the head of my penis was tingling. Ive had prostatitis in the past and Im hoping the timing and the symtoms are just a coincidence.  Ive been on Doxycycline for prostatitis for four days, but the discomfort in my groin and occasional waves of nausea continue. Now Im afraid of being intimate with anyone. The encounter happened over three weeks ago and I have no other symptoms.
Thank you in advance  for your advice,

Hi Vance,
Thank you. Can you just elaborate a bit on my last questions? This was a one time mistake and I just want to be sure Im ok before being intimate with my partner. I know you said hands dont have STDs to transmit, but can a transfer happen by the hand to the genital area. I did read a similar post and answer from one of the Doc's that said "virtually zero risk".
I will not ask any further questions.
Thank you!

Hi Grace,

Do you concur with the above assessment? I had no open wounds on either my hand or penis. The only symptoms I've had is occassional tingling at the tip of my penis. I've also had waves of nausea for the past two weeks. The incident took place 25 days ago.

Thank you

That makes sense. So, are you saying that if I touched someone's genital area that had an std, then touched myself, there is no risk of contracting that std? Is that because viruses dont live outside the body? Even if I touched an open lesion?

Yes that is correct, hands don't have STD's to transmit.

Hi Vance,
Thank you for your response. I have a couple follow up questions. Can you explain skin to skin contact? I presume that would be genital to genital contact, not hand to genital. Is that correct?  I thought I was being safe by only touching, but made the mistake of touching myself with the same hand. I read on this site that herpes, syphillis, and HPV can be spread by skin to skin contact.  Just want to be sure.
Again, I dont believe any fluid was present (but not 100% sure), nor did I see any sores, nor did I have any cuts on my hand.
Thank you aggain!
