Molluscum

I was reading the thread, "WIFE DIAGNOSED WITH HPV AND MYSELF WITH MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM" looking for an answer if MC can cause abnormal cell growth in the cervix which can lead to cervical cancer? Or is it a type of HPV such as herpes or chlamydia?

If you have a chlamydia infection or a herpes outbreak at the time of a pap smear, its possible this could cause an abnormal pap, but these don't lead to cervical cancer the way that HPV can.

I was reading that abnormal cells can be cause by these types of std's as well as HPV, unless I'm really confused and read something wrong.

No, MC will not cause cervical cancer.

I'm confused by the last question, because herpes and chlamydia are not forms of HPV.
