Prostatitus linked with unprotected sex?

Can chronic prostatitus be linked with unprotected sex? I have currently had three bouts with prostatitus in the last 9 months and I am very healthy 27 y/o/m. I have had the same partner for two years and am happily engaged, my fiance's annual pap and screening are completely normal with no problems. I have recently been treated with Leavaquin for 3 weeks and the problem goes away. I was in some flood water/septic drainage from the midwest floods last june for several hours, due to doing my profession. One Dr. told me that is where I picked up the bacteria and that it was extremely hard to get rid of due to the way the prostate is designed. I have had ct. scans with dye, numerous urinaylsis, blood work, a cycsto scope, and rectal exam, plus a  urine f.i.s.h. test. And all are normal with no problems, but my insurance is working overtime. I am wanting to know to prevent any further complications if sex could be causing my prostatitus? Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the reply, I didnt figure that it would but I was just looking for a cause to some of the problems. Perhaps the Urologist was correct in saying that it could have been the nasty water that I was exposed to for prolonged period of time. Once again thanks for your time and answer.

No unprotected sex would or should not cause the issues you are having.
