No clear answer about GENITAL WARTS under PUBIC HAIR

Hello. About a week ago I noticed a bump close to my penis in the pubic hair region. I scratched it off, it bled and it grew back basically in the same form. Then yesterday, I noticed another one of these bumps about half an inch away from the first one. The first one is located near the penis and the 2nd is located near the scrotum. They look like warts, they're very small.  I'm going to a doctor this week to get it checked out.

I've had protected vaginal sex twice in the last month and unprotected oral sex about 6 weeks ago.

My problem is, I can't seem to find a straight, clear cut answer about genital warts forming in the pubic hair region. Some sources say they can, most doctors on this site say they can't. Here's the examples of the doctors from this site:

This doctor has serious doubts based on this persons description of the problem, which sounds very similar to mine.

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Are-these-Genital-Warts/show/245149
This doctor says "warts don't grow hair, nor do they start in hair follicles; and warts generally occur on the genital proper (or around the anus), not in the pubic area".

If this is true, what about this picture of genital warts?

I could really use a knowledgeable answer. Do genital warts grow in the pubic hair region?

I'm curious what you learned from your dr's appointment?

I just took another look at that picture. Seems like there isn't anything in the pubic region. Sorry.
