Various STDs

Hello,

About 72 days ago I engaged in a one time oral sex encounter with a woman I met in a bar.  So, she is definitely unknown HIV/STD status.  We engaged in the following:

1.  She inserted my penis into her mouth 2-3 times.  I had her stop during the last insertion once I felt  I was approaching ejaculation.
2.  I rubbed her vaginal area with my left hand (and may have inserted my fingers into her vagina, I cannot remember, but let's say I did)
3.  I inserted the first two fingers of my right hand into her anus
4.  I I performed oral sex on her in her clitoral and pubic hair region for a short amount of time.  I cannot remember if I inserted my tongue into her vagina, but let's say that I did.
5.  I believe that she was most likely in her late 30's so I was surprised that she got "wet."  Perhaps this was cervical mucus?
6.  We obviously also engaged in deep french kissing.

This incident was about 20-30 minutes long.

I had an HIV test done at 32 days after the incident and it came back negative.  I also just had a full STD panel (to include HIV) done at 62 days after the incident and am anxiously awaiting the results.

I gave blood for the STD panel, but my question concerns oral gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia.  Would the blood test show that I have an oral infection or would I have to have my throat swabbed?

You can be blood tested for syphilis, herpes and hiv.  Everything else requires either urine or a sample from the site. Since this was oral sex, you'd need to have your throat swabbed.

for more info on std's, how and when to test for them, check out www.ashastd.org for more info.

You also need to learn a lot more if you think that women in their 30's don't get excited and wet!

Sorry, but I guess my real question is this:  Does the blood test tell if I only have genital STDs while the throat swab would tell if I had oral gonorrhea and chlamydia?

Don't mean to make excessive posts, just trying to get all the info, plus I don't want to tick off my doctor.

Thanks.

Nope, not unless you have doubt in your head and want to silence it.

Ok, thanks.  I was just curious after reading.  I have been having "issues" with my mouth and throat starting at about 30 days after this incident.  Also, some digestive/bowel issues.

Pending the results of this STD panel, would you recommend getting a throat swab?

you did not really have a risk for clymida or gonorrhea. but if you must test then a throat swab. syphilis is picked up with a blood test
