you did not really have a risk for clymida or gonorrhea. but if you must test then a throat swab. syphilis is picked up with a blood test
Ok, thanks. I was just curious after reading. I have been having "issues" with my mouth and throat starting at about 30 days after this incident. Also, some digestive/bowel issues.
Pending the results of this STD panel, would you recommend getting a throat swab?
Nope, not unless you have doubt in your head and want to silence it.
Sorry, but I guess my real question is this: Does the blood test tell if I only have genital STDs while the throat swab would tell if I had oral gonorrhea and chlamydia?
Don't mean to make excessive posts, just trying to get all the info, plus I don't want to tick off my doctor.
Thanks.
You can be blood tested for syphilis, herpes and hiv. Everything else requires either urine or a sample from the site. Since this was oral sex, you'd need to have your throat swabbed.

You also need to learn a lot more if you think that women in their 30's don't get excited and wet!
