I see. I don't think you have an STD. If a guy has a sore in his mouth and licks you, well the chances of you getting an STD is very low. Don't worry about this.
In your initial post I think you asked, " worried about syphillis, herpes and other stds that are supposedly spread thru skin- to- skin contact. what does it mean exactly?" I did miss that question.
Skin-to-skin contact in the context of STDs (uclerative ones; herpes, syphils, HPV the virus that causes genital warts) means that you don't need to have penetrative sex per say to get infected, all you need is "skin-to-skin" contact. But in internet is misleading, and this is why we get people who freak out and become OCD about touching. This "skin to skin" contacty for STDs, I like to call it "gential to genital" contact where no penetrative sex is needed. But if you think about it --- its when one has sex is when gential-to-gential contact is occuring.
Consider for example, If you touch someone's cold sore (herpes on lips), you are unlikly to get herpes on your hand, instead if you kiss that person you are likely to get herpes on your lips. This is gential-gential contact as the lips are more sensitive and prone to this virus.
The same is true for gential herpes; all you need is to come in contact with the lesion/ucler, but in reality though no sex is required to do that, honestly the people who are getting infected with herpes, syphilis are in fact having sex because during sex is when genital-genital contact is being made. This is why they say "condoms are not 100%" they are talking about "skin-skin" or the "gential-gential" contact, they won't protect you from ucerative STDs. But from what I've read condoms are pretty good though.
Thanks for the quick response. I guess what throws me off is the mode of transmission. If the guy had a sore in his mouth and he licked my toes, nipples and butt cheeks, would that constitute a skin to skin contact ? If so, then that would mean that i could have an std. Thanks
Hi
If your looking for another opinion about your exposure, there is none because we have nothing to add or are in agreement with what was already said to you. The only thing I can think of now is a guilty conscious causing you to worry.
From you new post about penis to feet interaction there was NO way you can get any STD. He's probably at risk for getting a fungal infection on his penis from possible athlet's foot (NOT STD related).
Read the HIV forums, to see how one is infected with HIV.
Hi. A few days ago i had an random encounter where the guy licked my feet and sucked on my toes. Placed his penis in between my toes and simulated a masturbation this way. Also rubbed hispenis on the sole of my foot. He licked my neck, nipples and kissed my butt cheeks. I also gave him a handjob. Noticed his precum during the encounter. He did not ejaculate though. My penis was untouched. No oral or anal sex. I have no idea about his hiv or std status. Didnt check his mouth/ body for any sores. Have i exposed myself tp syphillis or herpes or hiv this way?
Have to direct you over to the herpes commuity
okay. thanks for the clarification. what are your thoughts though about shedding... even with no sores herpes could still be transmitted. if he licked me in areas not protected condom and he is shedding, would that be transferred to me? lets say even if my skin was intact, no cuts, abrasions.?
no, your understanding is not correct. you have to come into direct contact. herpes would be a cold sore on his lips and syphilis would be a bigger sore on his lips or inside his mouth. the tongue would not contain either of those.
but what if he has syphiilis, or herpes in his mouth and he llcked me? is that skin to skin?
thanks
licking does not transmit STD's
thank you, i appreciate your response. but what about the base of my penis, testicles, inner thighs - areas not protected bycondom? he licked my down there as well.
Protected oral sex...no risk. Don't even give it a second thought.
if i may add, i didnt notice any visible sores on his lips. didnt bother to check his mouth. stupid me
