Pearly penile papule or Genital Warts

Hello ,

I have recently been concerned about a row of tiny pimples/ small bumps around the corona of my penis.

I have seen a urologist for this problem and he could not properly diagnose also whether it was genital warts or PPP. He said in his terms that the small pimples do not look like genital warts and told me to come again in 3 weeks' time for more examination. I have also read that pearly penile papules are often misdiagnosed as genital warts and vice versa.

I understand that it will be difficult for you to diagnose my problem here but the small pimples are flesh coloured and arranged in a row around the corona of my penis. There does not seem to be any pus inside the pimples and they do not itch also. I think that it may have been here for more than 2 weeks may be more, I am not sure about the precise time they appeared on the corona of my penis.

So my question, from the description I gave is if it is genital warts will it definitely grow and how long will it take to grow?

I have read also that the body's immune system can with time get rid of these warts and heal the body of the virus? Is this true for genital warts?

Thank you so much for your advice.

We'd only be guessing.  Returning for follow up with your provider in a few weeks is the best course of action.

You never have to treat genital warts if you don't want to. In time they will go away on their own.  We usually recommend treating them for cosmetic reasons more than anything.
