Negative swab, negative blood test. Now I have positive blood test?

I was tested with a standard STI panel. I requested herpes be added as I noticed some small bumps near my vaginal region. The doctor swabbed them. She insisted that it looked to be nothing more than folliculitis. Both sets of test (swab/blood) results came back negative. I was tested again just to be safe. (Blood only) My test results came back positive for HSV2. I am confused as I do not have the symptoms. Why would it be negative on two counts but positive the next?

Hi, what were the test numbers that appeared in the test and what test did they perform. Only an IGG type specific are used not IGM and any number 3.5 or below indicates a false positive.
