Possible STD symptom

i had unprotected oral sex a few weeks ago and for about a week have had a tingling feeling in the tip of my penis, and a feeling like someone was pressing on my balls for a day or two. I have no sores, blisters, rash, discharge or anything else and was wondering what this symptom might be?

update: no health insurance since the end of august. my doctor wanted me to go to a urologist (still no bloodwork?!) unfortunately the guy charges $250 up front just for a consultation.so i cant afford it. she did give me another perscription for doxyciclone the last day I did have insurance, but when i filled it it was a different type a blue cap rather than a brown pill. the blue cap makes me instantly sick and throw up, with some blood unless i take it with a gallon of water so i havent taken it.

Got a rash on my inner thigh, one side then the other, but i looked up side effects of the doxy and it can cause a rash . . so is it the medicine for the std or an std? who knows! no sharp pains and only mild discomfort intermittently, so I guess i can deal with it. have had sex with my significant other and she has no symptoms of anything.

still no discharge or pain urinating anyone ever have anything like this?? Maybe just a pesky staph infection my doctor originally said. Not knowing for sure sucks more than anything else.

I did go to the lab to get the testing done, but dont know the results as it was set up to where I pay afterwards if I want the results. The next day I called the doctor after explaining to my partner what happened, and she prescribed us both azithromycin and doxycycline. It seems to be working as there's no penis pain and old mild discomfort in the balls area. Hopefully the meds will work their wonders. The doc said it could be 'prostatitis' which I gather could be from any bacteria crawling up where it's not supposed to be.

Thanks vance.

i know millions of people get things every year and if they feel like i do there must be millions of people scared to death over ruining relationships over one moment of stupidity. im going to the lab tonight to get the test package done and hope for the best. if its not an std it could be anxiety over being such a jackass or even something worse than an std who knows right

No one knows expect for your Dr what is in your record and millions of people each year get a STD like gonorrhea or chlamydia. But it is up to you, just trying to give you the best advice.

theres the obvious social stigma associated with possibly having an std and having it put into a permanant record which is only supposedly 'private' also i dont have insurance so have to pay for it either way myself so for $250 i can take a bunch of tests and rule out certain things or confirm something without visiting an office where everyone in town goes and knows me.

im more curious to figure out which (if any) std would show up with the symptom i have. thanks again for the help vance

This is why a Dr is your best option because if you spend $ on a test and still have symptoms then you are out $ and still have to see a Dr.

And why does it matter what is in your medical records?

thanks vance

its been about a week and a half and this is still the only symptom only a little discomfort and nothing else. i dont have insurance and would rather keep it off my medical records. they have a package where you go to a local lab and they test for herpes, ghonorrea, hep, syphillis and clymidia but i wonder if anything would show up after only a couple weeks?

if its not an std i need to find out what it is, and if it is i dont want to pass anything off.

It could be a symptom but most of the time you will have discharge associated with it. I would see a Dr and explain symptoms. Probably don't need testing but let the Dr make that call.
