Postive/Negative

I tested positive for trichomonas, but my boyfriend of 4 years was negative.  How could this be?

I had the itching days after sex.  Never had the discharge.  Went to my doctor for my pap smear and told her about my itching.  Tested for yeast infection and found Trich.  He says NO, but you can never trust anyone.  Still don't know why he is negative and I am positive?!?

Have you asked him if he's had other partners recently?

what discharge did you have that led you to get tested?

Not sure what you mean...  I have been with this partner for 4 1/2 years and just recently I was diagnosed with Trich.  I don't understand how I could have it and he doesn't when he is the only parnter I have had unprotected sex with?!?!?  Can men be a carrier and become dormiate and show a negative result?

False positive, false negative. He could have had it and taken something to cure it. It might not have every had it. Trich is very difficult for men to get.
