Just because we have a handful of 'diagnosed' std's , doesnt mean there arn't anymore! There are probably alot more out there that we dont know about and put down to other things. Ive heard of people who still have problems after a sexual encounter but results were negative.
I have a counterpoint.
I know of a case with similar mild symptoms, and lots of negative STD tests. However once tested for Ureaplasma, that came up positive. This was after cipro 400mg, azithromycin 1g, doxycycline 100g 2x day for 7 days.
So certainly some of this stuff can persist past several rounds of antibiotics. Now I'm not trying to get your hopes up NeedAnswers299, it might not work for you, but I think that before anyone says something like "nonbacterial prostatitis," you should at least be tested for all of the common bacteria first.
its all in ur mind, get rid of it and u r gonna be fine. The thought of being sick not ur mind ... :)
Cipro and Doxy won't "knock out" prostatitis/pelvic pain syndrome. I have nonbacterial prostatitis, and i've taken everything, and still haven't been cured.
I have been tested for everything. Besides 14 days of cipro and 14 days of doxy should knock that out.
You might have Pelvic Pain Syndrome.. I had a similar issue about 8 months ago. I started doing biofeedback therapy and 10 minutes of yoga a day and it helped reside the pain. Doc HHH put me onto my symptoms couple months back since all science was telling me that their was nothing wrong with me. You can google Pelvic Pain Syndrome which brings up a couple good web pages which talks about it.
This is probably not what you want to here but it is like getting a tension headache in your groin...
They say acupuncture is another method to help eliminate pelvic pain. I have not tried it since the relaxing methods with the biofeedback and yoga really helped me over time.
Good Luck and Take Care
Well, first what risks have you been in? Have you had unprotected sex? It could possibly be trichomonas, however that usually doesn't cause symptoms in men. See if you can possibly get tested/treated for trichomonas.
