if you are really concerned about an oral std, they need to do the swab of your oral area, not the genital area.
I've been tested for the following after 10 days from exposure: CT/GC amplified C trachomatis, N.
(NEG), Gonorrhoeae by amplified DNA probe (NEG), Urin culture-no growth, treponema IGG/IGM (NEG), HIV 1/2 (NEG), Hepatitis A AB IGM (NEG), Hep B Core IGM (NEG), Hep B S AB Quant (NEG), HeP B S AG (NEG), Hep C AB (NEG), Hep C AB (NEG).
Current symptoms mild sore throat, and have tested for strep throat and was Neg. Please advise if I am still at risk for any STD's? and what other tests you recommend to take?
Thank you.
if you only performed oral sex on someone and they didn't perform it on you, testing for gonorrhea from your genital area was a waste of time and money.
Thank you for your response. I am so worried, I've taken the urethra culture test for gonorrhea after 10 day from exposure and found out its negative, Do I need to take the throat swab culture test as well? still no symptoms developed.
GraceHHH has pretty much summed it up.
Herpes does not require semen exchange nor does syphilis.
Even so. Would you knowingly perform a sex act on another person if you could see active legions or ulcers that is going to penetrate a part of your body?
Stay safe and use condoms
whether or not you ejaculate has little to do with std risk. it's the sex act itself that is the risk, not whether semen is exchanged or not.
in general, we don't recommend testing routinely for std's after oral sex unless you develop symptoms.
protect yourself in the future and only give and receive protected oral :)
