Pain in Lymph Nodes and Left testicle

I'm a 22 year old and I'm writing because I've been experiencing some discomfort around my genital area for the past few days and am worried that it may be STI or even cancer related. I've been with my new girlfriend for the past three months. About two weeks before meeting her, I had unprotected sex with one other girl and before that, I'd been in a two and a half year relationship. About four or five days ago, I noticed a small spot at the end of my penis which looked similar to an insect bite. I've been covered in similar looking insect bites all over my body since I went camping a couple of weeks back but this one appeared to have become infected after having unprotected sex with my girlfriend, who was just getting over a thrush infection. So that may be the reason for the spot appearing infected. I visited an STI clinic earlier today but the nurse insured me that it looked more like an insect bite as opposed to a STI related symptom. The pain in the lymph nodes located in my groin began about four days ago, when the spot had become infected. The pain became worse on the second day and began to ease off again over the past two days. The pain's still not fully gone but it's not noticable untill I press in on the area. Tonight however, I began to get a pain in my left testicle (sort of to the upper rear left of the testicle) and have once again become alarmed. The STI clinic didn't offer any possible explaination as to why I was experiencing discomfort in the lymph nodes and I'm beginning to get worried that it my be cancer related. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards - D

Hi Neptune1,

During your visit to the STI clinic, did you get a doctor to inspect the 'insect bites'? Not that I don't trust the nurse, but a doctor's assessment will be more reliable.
Pain in testicle only, doesn't sound like STDs symptoms especially with the lack of discharge.
I think you should see a doctor or a new doctor if necessary. Tell him about your exposure with girl and also that you went camping.
