STI

So 10 years back i was assaulted by two men. They forced me to give them oral sex and gave me too. I havent been sexually active all these years after this  traumatic event, however i was wondering if these guys may have given me any sti. I recently did my cbc. It was all good. Had they given me any infection would it have appeared as an abnormality on my cbc? I have had no symptoms of sti also.

First, I'm really sorry this happened to you. If you haven't ever had any counseling for this, I'd recommend that you do.

The CBC wouldn't have shown anything, unfortunately. However, it would be extremely unlikely for you to go 10 years and have no symptoms at all.

Clinically, the chances of getting an STI from oral sex - giving and receiving - are much lower than vaginal or anal sex, so the chances that you got anything from this are quite low. Adding that it was 10 years ago and you've had no symptoms, I think you can stop worrying.

If it would help you stop worrying, why not just test? Some people feel a lot better to see it on paper. Others find it would make them too anxious. It's up to you.

I really am sorry this happened. :(

I did a test cbc esr. So i read it can detect sti
Well, sometimes if you have an STI, your might have an increased white blood count, but that's not always true. It can be an indicator of an STI, but it's definitely not something I'd rely on.

Having an STI is much more likely to increase the WBV count in a urine test than a blood test, but it depends on the STI.

If you want to know for sure, you'll have to do specific STI testing.

I'm really sorry.

Hi and sorry about that terrible experience. giving oral sex is considered very low risk for contracting any std,s. And since you have not had any symptoms it would suggest you did not contact any.  What is a cbc?
