Well gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and hep are good enough but for herpes and HIV, you will have to wait a while. Herpes is three to four months post exposure and where there is still a debate about how long to wait for complete results for HIV, eight weeks is nearly conclusive but three months is the standard guideline that is being followed at the moment.

I was mainly concerned about Syphilis and herpes, so syphilis would show in the blood after 5 weeks? And wouldnt you you see visible outbreaks for herpes well brefore in would show in the blood? Wouldnt those show at 5 weeks?

Yes, Syphilis would show at this time. Although most cases of herpes are evaluated by the representation of sores, blisters, lesions, some people can have Herpes and not have visual outbreaks. This is why whenever these physical symptoms appear, it is imperative for the physician to take a swab sample of the area affected to determine whether or not this was herpes related. But herpes can linger for days, weeks, months, heck , even months after supposed exposures. But, yes, herpes can show in the blood and even beforehand when outbreaks are present. Hep C. is can be picked up at this time as well although the testing time I am not certain of. What was your exposure, might I ask?
