Scrotum issues

I’m hoping someone can put my mind at ease.  About 8 weeks ago, I received a hand job from a woman, and I also fingered her.  I’m a happily married man, and this was a silly mistake. Ever since the incident, I have been extremely concerned about the prospect of getting an STI. After 4 weeks, I decided to do a home STI test, and all the results were negative.  I’m not sure if it’s my anxiety, but my genital area, especially the scrotum, has felt different. The scrotum area itself certainly looks more red and feels like it’s burning. On two separate occasions, weeks apart, I’ve had two marks that were even redder, which I thought might be an issue with the pubic hair follicles. I did another STI test a few weeks ago (6 weeks after contact), and the results were negative. I used the Randox home test kits on both occasions. I also did a home HIV test that was also negative. I haven’t had sex with my wife for around 5 weeks now because I’m worried I might pass something on. In order to try and heal my genital area, I’ve been applying Canesten and sudocrem. Please help!

Here the problem is not STDs, but anxiety motivated by guilt.

Don't worry, friend, I've been in the same situation. You have nothing, your tests are negative. What's happening right now is that you're so anxious, you're constantly checking your penis and you notice things that are normal, but that you didn't see before because you weren't checking it every minute.

I've been in your situation, don't worry. Additionally, manual contact does not transmit STDs. Work on guilt and anxiety. And of course, if this makes you feel that way, don't repeat it. I tell you from experience.

Thanks for your reply. I’m certainly looking at my penis and surrounding area way more than I’ve ever done before.

You had no risk at all for anything. Handjobs and fingering don't transmit STIs, and symptoms of STIs very rarely show on the scrotum.

You've also tested negative.

My guess is that you've got some irritated hair follicles and a bad case of anxiety. Remember that guilt doesn't equal risk.

Thanks for your answer. Could the Canesten and sudocrem be causing further issues with the follicles, as in the genital area isn’t dry enough? I’ve heard tea tree oil is good at cleansing the area?
Has a doctor seen the area?

Tea tree oil is very irritating. Don't use that unless a doctor tells you to. If you have irritated skin, it will HURT.

Let a doctor take a look and see what's going on.
No, I haven’t been to the doctors as I was worried that it was an STI, then I would have something on my medical records about it. I just don’t want to lose me wife and daughter over a very silly mistake.
Well, you have no risk for an STI, so go.

I mean, even if it was an STI, you are letting it go untreated. That wouldn't make any part of this better. (It's not an STI, and whatever it is, you're letting that go untreated.)

Are the home kits anonymous? If they aren't, it's on your record already.
Yes, they are anonymous. Thanks.
