How would the numbers make any difference?
What tests where you given igm or igg. What was your numeric numbers. Be specific these are important. If you don't know please contact your dr for a copy of the results
You COULD spread it if it's located on your mouth (oral hsv) it's much less common to have hsv 2 there, and when you do it dosent break out or shed as often, it is possible but unlikely
I completely understand and agree. However, with hsv2 antibodies and no visible symptoms, wouldn't it be virtually impossible to spread via my mouth?
Chances are yes you are fine, as long as you know where the hsv is (like you've had a genital OB) you can pass it from your genitals to a different part of your body but it's not very common to the best of my knowledge, just make sure you watch your body and avoid contact if you have any concerns, it is always wise to inform your partner before hand just incase. Hsv really isn't a big deal, people just blow it out of proportion because it has a bad stigma. My stepfather has hsv 2 genitally and has never passed it to my mother in the 10 years they have been together, you just need to watch your body and take precautions!
Thank you. I have never had a known outbreak on or in my mouth area. Am I in the clear?
Yes it is most commonly genital, has been know to be oral but this isn't where the virus likes to live so it's less common to be there and sheds must less often, and vice versa with hsv1 on the genitals
And that's to say it's on your mouth not your genitals
Hsv2 is generally on your gentials. It can be contacted orally tho but it is less commen, and tends to shed much less, I would assume you are in the clear as long as no OB is present
