Sore throat 1-2 days after oral sex on man

Wednesday night around midnight, I performed oral sex on a man. I am female if that matters, and was tested for STD a month ago. Not because I thought I had any (I'm usually not very sexual) but just to confirm. Anyway, by Thursday evening, my throat was almost sore. Today is Friday and the right side is definitely sore and a bit red plus there are a couple red dots on the roof of my mouth. Is it possible this could be the beginnings of an STD? Or am I overreacting? A few friends of mine have had recent colds and I am prone to anxiety. Also have read the odds of noticing symptoms that early are slim, but I wanted some confirmation.

Also would any antibiotic cure it if it were an std like gonnorhea?

Thank you!

you didn't contract hiv from performing oral sex. the provider you saw isn't very knowledgeable about hiv transmission from the sounds of things :(

Went to the doctor and was treated with antibiotics in case there is any gonnorhea present, so those worries we're squashed.

He did, however, worry me about possible HIV exposure from that and now my anxiety is acting up again. Should I be worried?

no, not just any antibiotic is effective for treating std's, especially not gonorrhea.

see your provider tuesday about this for further evaluation and testing.
