HELP PLEASE GENITAL WARTS

ok so her goes , been with my partner nearly 2 years, had a sexual relationship for 4 but on and off, last september i had usual std checks all clear, but this month my boyfriend has got warts on his butt, no where else although hes said no hes testys are itchy, i trust him and before anyone says no hes defo not gay, his doctor claims not to worry they could be non sexually transmitted, he was convinced he had piles as he is a body builder, couldnt belive when doctor said warts, sooo my qustion is, COULD HE HAV CONTRACTED HPV BEFORE HE MET ME AND IT LAY DORMANT? OR DOES THE SYPTOMS ALWAYS APPEAR A FEW MONTHS AFTER INFECTED, I NEED TO KNOW IF HE HAS BEEN UNFAITHFUL AS I NOW HAVE TO GET CHECKED BUT I DONT HAVE ANYTHING ON ME AT ALL AND WE DONT USE PROTECTION, PLEASE SOMEONE WHO KNOW JUST TO CLEAR UP DOES IT ALWAYS APPEAR SOON AFTER SEX

THANK YOU X

there are over 130 different hpv infections that can infect us humans. of those, about 30 or so infect the genital area. when we get hpv testing with a pap test ( have you had that done? ), it only looks for the types that cause infections on our cervix as women, not the kinds that typically cause external genital warts.

a 2nd opinion for him is a good idea to be sure if he hasn't had any treatment yet.

thank you for the replies :-) they are only on his butt like bum hole thers about 6 they started off as pimples we live together so i cant see when he would have cheated he doesnt go out really , it was only visual because he really thought was piles so went to the doctor, theres none on his penis or anything, so your sayin its not likly for it to show up so late ?? i think we should get a second opinion hes morifited over it, i had a pap done few times and all shown up abnornal cud i have passed somethin to him maybe thats been in me ? i never had an std of any kind tho, iv booked an app for monday mornin to be tested, thanks guys x

is it likely that he is just now showing symptoms of a hpv infection he contracted prior to you? no it is not.

have these been treated yet? did he have any testing done or was this just a visual diagnosis?  if he hasn't had treatment yet, seeking out a 2nd opinion is a good idea if it was a visual diagnosis and not something he had removed and sent to the lab which returned as being hpv.

we don't test for hpv routinely - neither you nor your partner have been tested for hpv most likely.

They can take up to a year to appear after contracting them but like the doctor said they could be none sexually transmitted. When you say he's got them on his butt where exactly are they?
