Trying to distinguish between Molluscum and Herpes! Help

Ok lets start.  I am a 19 year old male who is a 2nd year student in college.  My freshmen year right around late september/early october i performed oral sex on a girl.  about a month later i noticed these little pimples in my upper pubic area (exactly where my underwear wasteband is, id say about 3-4 inches below my belly button.  at first i thought it was razor burn because the bumps were so small.  i also found 3 really really small ones at different locations on my penis and a couple on my genitals.  slowly they started becoming more prominent.  id like to note these lesions NEVER went away.  id say about the beginning of summer (May) was when they peaked and they became pretty large (randging from being the size of a pencil tip to being about the circumerence of the letter 'O' on ur keyboard) with visible white centers.  During this 8 month period they never hurt or even itched.  It is now october and i finally was able to make a dr appt and have my doctor look at it.  he examined them and told me he REALLY thought it was molluscum contagiusm and to be reassured that he didnt think it was herpes and he also had a student with him that concurred.  So Basically ive had these little pimples for an entire year now and they havent gone away nor caused me any problems so i was convinced the Dr was right since it can take anywhere from 6 months to 5 years for molluscum to go away and herpes outbreak generally only last from a couple days to a couple weeks.  well about 2 days ago one of the larger lesions started hurting and i noticed it was starting to get a little bigger.  today it popped and a little creamy white thing came out, EXTREMELY similar to when you pop a zit on your face.  now its dark purple  and scabbing up i beleive.  this is the first time anything like this has happened in the year that these bumps have been on me.  i am almost positive i did not scratch it open by accident nor cut it anyhow, it just acted up like this on its own.  I had also read that molluscum infects the first place on the body it comes in contact with.  so does this mean that if it IS molluscum and i did get it from the girl i performed oral on, wouldnt it be around my lips and face? I plan on getting tested for herpes as soon as possible but id like to here your thoughts on what you think this could be!

I appreciate any response.  thank you.

I can't explain it other than you might have some acne or something.  Herpes won't last a year, and she didn't give you oral, so there's no risk for anything genital.

how can you explain the lesions busting open though, i dont think that is a common trait or even a trait of MC.

Its not herpes - herpes doesn't last for a year.  You'd have an outbreak that would clear up in a couple of weeks, tops.

You gave oral sex.  If she didn't give it to you, then its not from that encounter - any std you got would have been oral.
