PID

I found out that I have PID... My ex boyfriend cheated on me with a girl who was rumored to have Chlamydia. The last time I slept with him was back in February of 09 it is now June of 09 and I got the diagnosis three days ago. Is it possible that he gave me chlamydia that changed into PID somehow?

Well, I got chlamydia in January but continued to have symptoms.  I tested several times after the initial positive test and was negative.  It turns out that I have chronic cervicitis as a result of a cervical leep I had years ago.    Have you had an abnormal pap and that tissue removed?  Maybe something similar happened to you.  If not, then you should seek a second opinion and be completely truthful with your doctor.

You need to speak to your Dr, because if your tests are negative then a STD did not cause PID.

I have to add that as many as 75% of women who contract chlamydia never show any signs.  This is probably what happened to you.

PID is a complication derived from untreated chlamydia, gonorrhea, and other things.  So, the answer to your question is yes.  Sorry.  :(
